1) Iguazu Falls
Iguazu Falls are known throughout the world as one of the most
beautiful and majestic natural waterfalls man has ever seen. The Iguazu Falls
are one of the more popular natural tourist destinations in South America. The
first European explorer to find Iguazu Falls was Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca, a
Spanish Conquistador, who came upon them in 1541. The falls went mostly
unvisited after that until being rediscovered once again in the late nineteenth
century. The name Iguazu comes from a local Indian language and roughly
translates as "Big Water".
2) The inca city of Machu Picchu
The Inca city of Machu Picchu are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic
ancient sites in the world.It is located near Cuzco in Peru. In the fifteenth
century, the Inca constructed the small city of Machu Picchu in a ridge between
two mountain peaks. Beautiful and remote, the buildings were constructed of
finely cut white granite blocks. No mortar was used.

The Intihuatana stone is one of many ritual stones in South America. The Inca believed the stone held the sun in its
place along its annual path in the sky.
The pyramids was located in Giseh, south-west of Cairo in Egypt.The Sphinx was carved over 4,500 years ago. It was for the Pharaoh Khafre. It had his head, the body of a lion. The Sphinx was carved out of a huge big stone. It is guarding Khafre's pyramid. The Sphinx was covered by sand which preserved it all these years. Its body is extremely soft rock and its head is very strong rock but some people used the head for gunshot practice.The Pyramids were constructed to hide the tombs of the Pharaohs.Until about a hundred years ago these pyramids were the tallest structures in the world! No earthquake could destroy them. They were each built of more than 2 million blocks of stone, which each weighed about as much as a small elephant.
4) The Tadj Mahall
The Taj Mahal "crown of palaces” , is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, India. Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the eight wonders of the world, and some Western historians have noted that its architectural beauty has never been surpassed. The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals, the Muslim rulers of India. Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim, Emperor Shah Jahan (died 1666 C.E.) in the memory of his dear wife and queen Mumtaz Mahal.
5) Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system composed of over 2,900
individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,600 kilometre over an
area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres. The reef is located in
the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in north-east Australia.The Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space and is the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms. This reef structure is composed of and built by billions of tiny organisms,
known as coral polyps. It supports a wide diversity of life and was selected as a World
Heritage Site in 1981. CNN labelled it one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The
Queensland National Trust named it a state icon of Queensland.
6) Venice and its canals Italy
Venice is a city in northeast Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canalsand linked by
bridges. It is located in the
marshy Venetian Lagoon which stretches along the shoreline between the mouths of the Po and the Piave Rivers. Venice Venice, A unique city of 116 islands, ancient history and endless waterways, it attracts a
steady stream of tourists from all corners of the world to view its inspiring architecture and to navigate its mystical canals.Venice light and water combine to create magic. This romantic city is a

Heritage Sites.
7) The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is a wrought iron, lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Built in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair, it has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. The tower has become the most prominent symbol of both Paris and France, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city.
8) Cape Town, South Africa
Aptly
called “Heaven on earth,” this beautiful town at the tip of the African
continent, with small roads surrounded by huge mountains, makes a person feel
small; showing how marvelous and dominating nature can actually be. The Cape Dutch style buildings depict the
architectural heritage of the place. Beauty abounds in the black clouds that
seem to pay homage to Table Mountain at all times.Located on the shore of Table
Bay, Cape Town is famous for its natural floral kingdom as well as its harbor.
This town is one of the most popular tourist attractions of South Africa with
its wine tasting day trips, whale watching, and dolphin watching.
9) Sydney Opera House
The Sydney Opera House is a
multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was conceived
and largely built by Danish architect Jorn Utzon, opening in 1973 after a long gestation that had
begun with his competition-winning design in 1957. There is no doubt
that the Sydney Opera House is his masterpiece. It is one of the great iconic
buildings of the 20th century, an image of great beauty that has become known
throughout the world, a symbol for not only a city, but a whole country and
continent. The Sydney Opera House was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007.It is one of the
20th century's most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing arts
centres in
the world.
The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials, generally built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China in part to protect the Chinese Empire or its prototypical states against intrusions by various nomadic groups or military incursions by various warlike peoples or forces. Several walls were being built as early as the 7th century BC; these, later joined together and made bigger, stronger, and unified are now collectively referred to as the Great Wall. Especially famous is the wall built between 220–206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Little of that wall remains. Since then, the Great Wall has on and off been rebuilt, maintained, enhanced; the majority of the existing wall was reconstructed during the Ming Dynasty. The Great Wall of China, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987.

Petra, meaning stone is a historical and archaeological city in the Jordanian governorate of Ma'anthat is famous for its rock cut architecture and water conduit system. Established sometime around the 6th century BC as the capital city of theNabataeans, it is a symbol of Jordan as well as its most visited tourist attraction. It lies on the slope of Mount Hor in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of Arabah (Wadi Araba), the large valley running from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. Petra has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. UNESCO has described it as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage".Petra was chosen by the BBC as one of "the 40 places you have to see before you die".
12) The Hassan II Mosque
The Hassan II Mosque is a religious building in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the largest mosque in the country and the 7th largest mosque in the world. Its minaret is the world's tallest at 210 m (689 ft).It stands on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic. A total of 105,000 worshippers can gather for prayer at the mosque simultaneously, 25,000 inside the mosque and another 80,000 on the mosque's ground outside.The building was designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau and built by Bouygues. Built on reclaimed land, almost half of the surface of the mosque lies above sea water of the Atlantic. This was inspired by the verse of the Qur'an that states "the throne of Allah was built on water." Part of the floor is glass and offers a view down at the sea.
13)The colorful waters of the Jiuzhaigou river
Jiuzhaigou Valley literally "Valley of Nine Villages" is a nature reserve and national park located in northern Sichuan Province of southwestern China. Jiuzhaigou Valley is part of the Min Shan mountain range on the edge of the Tibetan Himalayan Plateau and stretches over 72,000 hectares. It is known for its many multi-level waterfalls, colorful lakes, and snow-capped peaks. Its elevation ranges from 2,000 m to 4,500 m. Jiuzhaigou Valley was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1992 and a World Biosphere Reserve in 1997. It belongs to the category V (Protected Landscape) in the IUCN system of protected area categorization.
Jiuzhaigou (literally "Nine Village Valley") takes its name from the nine Tibetan villages along its length.
Burj Al Arab is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. At 321 m
(1,053 ft), it is the fourth tallest hotel in the world. Burj Al Arab
stands on an artificial island 280 m
(920 ft) out from Jumeirah beach, and is
connected to the mainland by a
private curving bridge. The shape of the
structure is designed to mimic the sail of a ship. Burj Al Arab was
designed by architect Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC. The design and construction
were managed by Canadian engineer Rick Gregory also of WS Atkins.
Construction
of the Island began in 1994. It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian
vessel. Two "wings" spread in a V to form a vast "mast",
while the space
between them is enclosed in a massive atrium.

The Golden Gate Bridge is

suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of
the San Francisco Bay into

Ocean. As part of both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1, the

links the city of San Francisco, on the northern tip of the San Francisco
Peninsula, to Marin County. It is one of the
most internationally recognized symbols of
San Francisco, California, and the
United States. It has been declared one of the modern
Wonders of the World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Frommers travel
guide
considers the Golden Gate Bridge "possibly the most beautiful, certainly
the most
photographed, bridge in the world".
